Customizing your FlexiQuiz content

Now that you have added your questions or content to the system, it's time to customize the quiz settings to fit your objectives.

FlexiQuiz, a flexible quiz maker with many configuration options, allows you to tailor your content to how the quiz works, looks and interacts with users.  From making custom tests for revision, fun interactive quizzes, or training programs, you can tailor a FlexiQuiz to your needs.

How to access your configuration options

1. The first step is to add your questions and content to a new quiz or to edit an existing one.
2. Then select the Configure tab. 

The main Configuration page will appear with further settings neatly split into sections.

The configuration options available will depend on your FlexiQuiz plan type.

Configuration options

General

The general section includes a wide range of quiz configuration options, such as structure, formatting, access and timings.

Key features include the following options:

• Display options: Quiz name, page titles, navigation bar position and FlexiQuiz branding.
• Question navigation and layout: Randomization, progress bars, page numbers, question numbers, bookmarks, allow going back to previous questions.
• Sharing the quiz: Quiz schedule, users schedule, number of allowed attempts.
• Time limits: Countdown timers for the whole quiz or by page.

Grading

Grading determines the learner's level of understanding. In addition, it is used for certifications, benchmarking and building learning paths based on individual performance.

Our quiz maker software allows you to customize the grade names and values based on how many points learners get in the quiz. Learn more about setting custom grades.

In addition, you can make a grade-based learning path that allows learners to automatically access their next activity based on their performance. For example, if learners get a fail, they need to retake the test. However, if learners master the subject, they can move to the advanced training module.

Results

Quiz results are the scores, feedback, and insights generated when the learner submits the test.

With FlexiQuiz, you can choose when to share the results and what you want to include. The results page or emails can consist of:

• Scores and percentages: Total points earned vs. possible points.
• Pass/Fail status: Based on how you define a pass on the grading screen.
• Correct & incorrect answers: Include a PDF with all questions and responses to show what was right or wrong.
• Explanations & feedback: Provides reasoning behind answers.
• Time taken: Shows how quickly a learner takes to complete the whole quiz or a page.

Certificates - Essentials plan or above

This section allows you to share a custom certificate with learners who pass your test. Certificates are a great way to reward students' progress and motivate them to continue.

With FlexiQuiz, you can select one of our certificate templates or designs and upload your organization's branded certificate. Certificates can include fixed text or dynamic data such as the learner's name, test date, score, expiry date, or more.

You can allow learners to download certificates from the results screen, or you can send an email with a copy of the certificate.

Notifications - Essentials plan or above

Emails are a great way to keep users informed and engaged during the quiz process.

Set email notifications to automatically message quiz takers, instructors, or administrators with reminders or results related to the quiz.

You can customize the text on the emails in any language. We offer the following email notifications:

Theme - Essentials plan or above

Make your quiz visually appealing to keep learners interested and focused. 

You can use our Theme options to design a quiz that reflects your brand, enhances readability and supports different learning styles.

With FlexiQuiz, you can:

• Change background colors or add images.
• Change the text on navigation buttons and user messages so that they are easy for users to understand in any language.
• Update fonts, sizing and text position.
• If you have an Enterprise or Enterprise+ plan, you can use CSS code for extra customization options.
